Sunny Health & Fitness Olympic Hex Trap Bar: technical features
The Sunny Health & Fitness Olympic Hex Trap Bar is designed specifically for safer lifting at home. The hex frame surrounds your body so the load is naturally centred, reducing lower back strain and improving balance and posture during deadlifts, shrugs, carries and total-body strength work. This makes it an excellent choice if you struggle with conventional barbell deadlifts or want a more joint-friendly way to train heavy.
Built from heavy-duty steel, the bar offers a 180 kg capacity with 28 cm loadable sleeves that fit 5.1 cm Olympic plates, and it comes with 2 weight clips to secure the plates during intense sets. A key differentiator in this price range is the presence of 360° swivel handles with diamond knurled grip, allowing natural wrist rotation for better comfort and control. This feature benefits both beginners learning proper form and experienced lifters pushing heavy sets of bent-over rows, overhead presses, plank holds, Romanian deadlifts, rack pulls and static holds. Compact, versatile and rugged, it is tailor-made for home and garage gyms where you want one bar to cover most of your strength and power training.
